COOL COASTAL LIVING

After moving around a lot as a family, Dejan and Priscilla wanted to put down roots close to the beach, in a cool coastal home that would grow with them and their daughters. Our team at Residential Attitudes provided the family with exactly that, plus a little bit more.

Dejan and Priscilla wanted their Hillarys home to a be a sanctuary, where the family could find calm amidst the chaos of everyday life. Their eldest daughter had her own request … for a “white house with lots of windows”. We delivered!

The contemporary two-storey coastal home is perfectly suited to the minimalistic family, with space for Dejan and Priscilla, as well as their two daughters, plus dog, Dakota.

The ground floor comprises the master suite, along with the living, dining and kitchen with scullery. The scullery was very important to Priscilla, as was the master suite, with its separation from the kids’ rooms, and luxury ensuite complete with freestanding bath.

They were the three must-haves,” she says. “Our designer did everything he possibly could to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

A sweeping staircase leads up to three more bedrooms, plus the family bathroom, sitting room and balcony.

With its ocean glimpses, the upstairs sitting room is a space of real sanctuary for the family. Dejan and Priscilla love the balcony for early morning coffees, and relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening.

It’s a very peaceful, calming place,” Priscilla says. “I never felt at home until now. This is exactly what we wanted; a white house with lots of windows by the ocean.

The couple found the process of designing and building a Residential Attitudes home stress-free and straightforward.

The build really didn’t take over our life. I’m a very attention-to-detail person and I was able to just let it go.

We had great customer service and our site supervisor was absolutely phenomenal. He was always happy to see us and hear what we had to say. All the trades were very respectful and great throughout the whole process.

Yes, we’d go back to Residential Attitudes to build again, but it would be hard to top this! It’s our dream home.
